Pierre Prost & Arthur Fourneau

Chateau de Javernand

“A hidden gem and to me the most beautiful vineyard and estate in Chiroubles. Cousins Arthur and Pierre tend to their land with passion and skill, producing wines of purity and amazing structure.”

Beautiful Château de Javernand is one of the most delightful wine estates in Beaujolais. The estate is operated by Arthur Fourneau and his close friend Pierre Prost, married to Arthur’s cousin Mathilde Penicaud, representing the fifth generation. They have lovingly cultivated the lands of their two terroirs: Chiroubles, at the heart of Crus du Beaujolais, and Macon-Villages, south of Bourgogne. Indeed, there probably isn’t any better Chiroubles than that of Château de Javernand. Their wines manage to be ripe and intense with rich textures and yet are very refined and elegant.
